an evening under the stars
The usual, annual Cocktails event is held on Coast Walk right off the trail, but this year proved to be the best yet. Held at the La Jolla Historical Society, the sold out event hosted a Grammy winning Quartet concert, an auction, several strong leaders from the La Jolla community, and an exciting new announcement for the La Jolla coastline and its residents.

la jolla coastal conservancy launch
A formal launch of the La Jolla Coastal Conservancy was announced. Director Bob Evans says “it’s safe, it’s welcoming, and it’s something that our kids and our grandkids and all visitors can enjoy.” - LaJolla.ca The nonprofit will operate alongside the city of San Diego in order to fund and execute several projects aimed to maintain and improve the shoreline from Coast Walk Trail to Whale View Point.
